Trackschool Frequently Asked Questions
- Our trackdays events are run on a first-come, first-serve basis. Places are limited for every event.
- You will need to read and agree to our terms and conditions and submit a booking.
- You can book and pay for your event via the website.
- Yes Gift Certificates are available for most Trackday Events and can be purchased as part of the normal booking procedure.
- Gift certificates are non-refundable.
- Because of vehicle set up, your height needs to be within 135cm and 194cm. Your maximum weight needs to be below 130kg.
- You need to be fit enough to take the high G force and muscle impact of racing.
- You will need to be able to cope with a more rapid heart rate as you drive.
- We do not encourage pregnant women.
- We do not allow persons under the influence of drug or alcohol to remain on the track.
You are basically paying for a complete track day experience. This includes plenty of drive time on the track, as much or as little driver training as you require, and more.
There’s a photographer, coaching and tech tips, parking and refreshments available to make this a very special and fun day.

Please Note: These inclusions may change depending on the Track or Experience. See individual event details for more information.
- Gates open at the designated opening time for your track. Please check the schedule and arrive on time.
- Sign on process starts as soon after you enter the venue. You will need to show your receipt with your licence number (either an AASA Club Licence or Motorsport Australia Licence) at the sign in desk.
- You will receive a wristband that indicates your session group. Your session group is based on your previous track experience and skill level. You cannot swap your wristband with another driver or change your session group.
- A mandatory briefing will be held before the on track activities start. The briefing will cover the compulsory safety rules, signals, track etiquette and the day’s itinerary. Please pay attention and ask any questions you may have.
- After the briefing, you can head to the track and enjoy your car in a controlled and fun environment. Remember to follow the rules, respect other drivers and have fun!
Please Note: The agenda may change depending on the Track and experience that you have selected. Please note further details on the agenda will be included as part of booking process.
Track days
- With a Track Day Experience drivers will be divided into groups according to speed and/or experience. We like to keep the groups relatively small, which means more track time for you and less traffic. You can expect to get around 6 - 7 sessions during a full day.
Open Pit Lane
- With an Open Pit Lane Experience you can go on the track as often or as little as you like. No sessions, no waiting.
Primary drivers, secondary drivers & passengers
- Primary drivers, secondary drivers & passengers must be over 14 and hold a current Track Licence.
- Primary drivers, secondary drivers & passengers under 18 require a Parent or Guardian signed Authority.
PLEASE NOTE: Different age limits and rules may apply for events hosted by other venues such as Luddenham or Pheasant Wood. It’s important to check the conditions of the venue when booking with them.
Terms & Conditions - Minors
- By making a booking or otherwise arranging for the participation of a minor under eighteen (18) years of age in an Event, the customer accepts that he/she is acting as guardian of that minor for the purposes of these Terms and Conditions.
- As guardian, the customer freely consents to the participation of the minor in an Event and freely waives all rights and accepts all obligations and risks as outlined under these Terms and Conditions in respect of the minor as if that minor was an adult customer.
- In consideration of the minor being accepted for participation in an Event, the customer agrees to fully and freely indemnify the business, its officers, employees and agents in the same manner and to the same effect as if the minor was an adult.
- YES and it's FREE for events hosted by Trackschool. There is no charge for Passengers, so your family and friends can all experience the fun of a Trackschool Track Day.
- Single passenger participants over 14 are welcome providing they have a Parent or Guardian signed authority.
- You will be allocated to particular sessions and your laps will not be timed.
- Passengers can simply turn up on the day.
PLEASE NOTE: For events hosted by another venue such as at Luddenham or Pheasant Wood, different rules and charges may apply to passengers depending on the conditions of the venue and event.
- Yes, but secondary drivers can only drive in the same session as primary drivers.
- Primary drivers and secondary drivers must be over 14 with a Parent or Guardian signed Authority and hold a current Track Licence.
- All drivers must have either a AASA Club Licence or a CAMS/Motorsport Australia Track Licence. Fees apply for all licences.
- To be in the same session, primary and secondary drivers must have the same experience level and be accepted into the same session.
- Both Primary driver and secondary driver payment and booking can be made together and in advance of the event day or on the day of an event. Second driver fees apply.
- Helmets must be approved for Australian Standard road use and are compulsory. You may hire helmets.
- Clothing must include long pants, long sleeves, socks and closed-in driving shoes.
- ID can be either a drivers Licence, track licence or Photo ID.
- If you have a Drivers Licence it must be current, so bring it with you.
- Don’t forget your CAMS/Motorsport Australia or AASA Club Licence or receipt with licence number.
- Lunch money, summer sunscreen and hat or winter beanie and gloves.
- Our days are for Production based Sedan, Sports Cars and Clubman Cars. Open wheelers may now attend some Trackschool Experiences - This includes Formula Vees, Formula Fords, F3s, Aussie Race Cars, Legend Cars, Future Cars and Radicals. (Please refer to your booked experience for further details).
- Your car can be road registered or unregistered.
- Your car can be a standard car to a highly modified race car.
- If you are unsure about your vehicle, please contact us.
- Service your car before you enter for an event.
- It needs to be roadworthy, compliant with track decibel limits and have all unfastened items removed from the interior.
- Trackshool caters for Classics, Unregistered and Track Prepared cars.

- No competition vehicles should be started before 8am except to unload and to be taken to scrutineering.
- Selected vehicles will undergo a static noise testing procedure before being permitted to enter the circuit.
- If, during use of the circuit, a vehicle registers above 95 dB(A) (measured at 30 m) the vehicle will be black flagged and removed. The vehicle will only be permitted to re-enter the circuit if it passes a compulsory static noise test. A mechanical rectification must be undertaken before the test is attempted.
- If the test is passed but the vehicle exceeds 95 dB(A) at 30 m on a second occasion, it will be excluded from any further participation that day.
- The sound measuring equipment is considered judge of fact and its readings/results are not open for discussion.
Please Note: Noise restrictions may vary depending on the track or event.
- No. As the day is a track day and not a race day, it is between you and your insurer.
- Trackschool does not accept responsibility for any loss or personal injury you may incur during an event as a result of your own negligence.
- Yes, family and friend are welcome at all our events.
- Unfortunately pets are not allowed.
- Our events take place in all weather conditions.
- Drones require a ‘Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) permit.
- Your use of the drone is your own responsibility and you must comply with all CASA rules of use at public events.
- Please contact Trackschool to check legality at your booked event.
- A Customer may cancel a booking and receive a full refund less $100 cancellation fee by notifying the business no less than 14 days before the booked Event. See our terms and conditions here.
